Given the nature of the teaching profession, which involves long working hours, large class sizes, high emotional and mental demands, and responsibility for learner welfare, the Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe prioritizes the health, safety, and well-being of its members. The union actively negotiates for policies and statutory protections that safeguard teachers’ physical, mental, and professional health within Zimbabwe’s education system.
